On the 14th November the Cunard steel steamship Servia went out upon her trials in the Clyde, and was subjected throughout the day to the most crucial t<*sts in regard to Bpped and sei-going qualities. Nothing could have been more satisfactory than the results obtained. The great vessel was repeatedly run at the measured mile, and ultimately taken out into the Channel, and run back between the Cumhrae and the Cloch lighthouse, a distance of 15$ statute miles. The Servia attained the remarkable speed of 20£ statute miles per hour, having on board 2500 tons of deadweight. The greatest satisfaction was expressed at the total absence of vibration when this immense ship was running at her top speed.
