Tlie Cambridge band were present, and contributed much to the general enjoyment. That not so many .18 usual were present yesterday iatestiliel by the fact that only £30 waa takcu that day at the gates. HANDICAP HURDLE RACE of SOsovs; over C llights of hurdles. :i feet, t< inches high. Three started. Lone Hand baulked, and threw liis rider at the second hurdle, who got up again, but was unable to put him over the jump. Blue Gum also baulked, and Rawenata had the race in his own hands, winning as he liked. PUBLICANS' I'UKKE HANDICAP, 7".sovs; 13 milci. Nomination, 2sov«; acceptance, .'isovs. Winner of Cambridge Cup to carry 71bs extra. Six started, and got well away together, when Raudwick, Tim Whilllor, and Kenilworth, went to the front. Coming up the straight for home, however, Lara took the lead, and was challenged by Tim Whifll-jr, and the two ran a dead heat for first place. Kaudwick followed elose behind them. Maori and Orakau also ran. WAIKATOSTKEPLECHASK, a handicap 'f Msovs ; about 4 miles, over fair hunting country. Nomination, '.Isovs; acceptance, 3sovs. Four started—Clarence, Rawenata, Harkaway, and Hard Times. Hard Times and Clarence led side by side over the first hurdle, Rawenata close behind, Harkaway well in the rear. This order was maintained for the first time round. Kawenatn refused the fence and ditch opposite the grand stand, and was out of the race, the other three negotiating their timber freely. Hard Times now forged ahead, and kept the lead to the fence and ditch within 100 yards of home, when he swerved and lost a couple lengths, Clarence taking his place, and winning by half a length, Hard Times second, and Harkway a good third. GRAND STAND HANDICAP of 2usovs; 1} miles. Vampire, Paramena, Miss Domett, Kenilwortli, Maori, and Flora started. Paramena, who went off with the lead, was closely followed by Mis 3 Domett and Kenilworth in the order named. After the first half-mile, Miss Domett took the lead, Kenilworth close on her heels. Racing in this order till the straiphb was entered, Miss Domett fell away, and Kenilworth took the lead and kept it to the post, winning easily by a length from Vampire, who made a good second with Paramena third.
