COMMERCIAL.
New Zealand Herald Office, Wednesday evening. The Customs duties to-day amounted to £J074 6s Id. Mr. G. Lewis' sale at Air. Phillips' clothing mart, Queen-street, has beeu postponed. His trade sale of ladies', maids', and children's boots yesterday was well attended, and all the goods were quitted, but prices ruled rather low. At Messrs. S. Cochrane and Son's sale of American organs prices ranged from £10 to £20. Some were held over to be disposed of privately. At Messrs. G. W. Binney's trade sale of hardware, teas, American rubber paints, &c., there was a good attendance of buyers. All the lines were quitted at satisfactory rates. Messrs. E. A. Isaacs report of their sale last Tuesday—consisting of olßce fittings, iron safes, metal propeller, kc. —that all the lots were quitted. The attendance was very large, and the bidding spirited.
