ALritED Bl*ckl\ni>'3 Wbrklt Report.— At the Harmarket on Nov. 2/i, fodder was in short supply, and small loads brought from 10s to 22s ; straw, lis to ISs per load. The market was ;uain tilled with horses, and a draft from Wanvanui selected by Mr. Kirkwood, attracted considerable attention, they being one cf the best lots that I have yarded for some time past. The bidding was brisk throughout the sale, and useful stock sold at advance on late prices. Active medium draughts brought from £18 : ssto£3s; harness horses, £13 lf>s to £25 03; weight carrying hacks, iIS to £29 ISs; and a large number of light hacks and harness horses, £>5 to £14; two medium draught unbroken] fillies, £21 and » 27 15s. At the Haymarket, on Tuesday, hides were pitched in I larger number than average. Prices were higher than 1 for some timo. Sound hides rarged from 4d to 5 1-lGd I the lb. Calfskins were also plentiful, and shared in I the advanced price given for hides ; they brought | from 3id to 4id the lb. Sheep and lambskins were also plentiful, "and maintained their value. Full--1 woolled station skins brought from 3s lOd to 5s 4d ; lambskins, lid to Is 9d each ; tallow, ISs to 22s the cwt. At the wool sale wools in grease sold more freely, but with scarcely an appreciable advance in price, and washed wools were, if any difference, lower in valuo. There were no reserves, with the exception of four lots reserved at first sale, all else were sold at the auction. 35S bales were offered for sale, and 27 bales reserved. At the timber sale, held at B.iird's wharf, on Saturday last, there was a numerous attendance ; prices, however, were lower than hitherto. At Papakura. on Wednesday, was a largo muster of stock, and a numerous attendance; prices wure in favour of the sellers. At Keniuera, on Thursday, dairy cattle were in less fhan usual nmnber. but dull of sale at last week's values. Store cattle were in full numbers, and at late values. Fat cattle were in short supply—all Auckland fatted, medium, and light weights. Prices at opening of sale were lower than hitherto, ranging from 18s for cows to 21s for good steers, but prices advanced as the salo proceeded, and at close of sale 24s the lOOibs was freely iriven. store sheep were numerous, but of indifferent quality; bidding was brisk. Shorn cross-bred ewes, with lambs, in low condition, mixed sizes, brought 14s the couple. Fat sheep were in moderate number, and sustained last week's values. Shorn wethers brought from 14s to ISs 6d each. Fat lambs were plentiful, but without alteration in price; best pens brought from 10s Gd to 13s each. A number of coarse pigs in low condition brought nominal prices—not repaying the cost of sending to market. Messrs. Hunteu. and Nolan's Weekly Report. —Horses: A large number were again brought for ward. There was good demand for shipborne horses of a good stamp, but local horses of inferior de scription were comparatively neglected. A large number were submitted by auction at the Durham Yards, and although bidding was alow, most of the lots were eventually cleared. Wool, flides and Skins : Previous to the second wool sales of the series the hides and skins wore disposed of, about an average number found purchasers : Hides, at from 4d to 4jd , skins, from 3s to 5s 8d; polts, Is to Is Od ; wool, in small packages, from 4jd to §£d; bales, from 7d toBJd washed, from 9sd to 10£ d, scor ed, lljd. Cattle: There has been an average supply of dairy and store stock, and a good one of fat boasts. There was no noteworthy alteration in value. At Newmarki t, on Tuesday, dairy cows were not so numerous as the i previous week, and were only of medium description. Stores were in steady demand, prices unaltered, j There was scarcely the usual number of fat beasts . yarded, and somo of them wore of prime description. | Bidding was languid, and 25s per lOOibs was barely : reached, while many good pens were sold at 20s per I lOOibs for very exceptional animals. We quoto dairy cows, from £5 to £S 15s. Stores have continued at the same values during the month. Sheep: The number yarded on Tuesday was below the average, but there was no noteworthy alteration in value. Pigs: Dairy, fed in demand, and sold well. THAMES. Mmsrs.
