THE ELECTIONS.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —The various returning officers, whilst naming noon of the Ist December aa the hour of nomination of candidates, and that the poll, if necessary, will be taken on the 9th, do not state at what hour the poll will open and close. Is this an omission ?— I am, &.v., Elector. I The returning officers should have included in the official notice that the poll "shall commence at 9 o'clock in the forenoon of the day appointed, and shall close at G o'clock in the afternoon of the same day." This is the first election in which the poll has been kept open till G o'clock.—Eu,]
