Mr. Harrison will ship a companion boat to the same club this week. The Tsnion S.S. Co.'s s.s. Te Anau left for Southern ports at 1 o'clock on Saturday. The Union S.S. Co.'s s.s. Ringarooma left Gisborne at 8.30 a.m. yesterday, and should arrive at Auckland about 11 a.ra. to-day. She leaves for Russell this evening, and returns South at noon on Wednesday. The Union S.S. Oo.'s s.s. Southern Cross, after arrival from Levuka, will be placed on the Gisborne and Napier trade*

The s.s. Oreti arrived from Napier and Gisborne yesterday morning. "We are indebted to Mr. F. Stephenson, purser, for latest files and the following report:—Left the spit (Napier) on Wednesday midnight, arriving at Gisbome on Thursday morning; left Gisborne at 11.30 p.m. same night, experienced fine weather with head winds all the way, arriving at the catle station (Kohimarama) at 9.15 on Saturday night. Moored alongside the railway wharf at 9.30 a.m. on Sunday. The Oreti is announced to return thither at 4 p.m. to-day. The Union S.S. Co.'s s.s. Taiaroa arrived from Southern ports about noon yesterday. We are indebted to the purser for latest files and the following report :—Left the wharf, Port Chalmers, on the 9th inst., at 5 p.m., for Oamaru, where took in cargo for Northern ports, and sailed at 5.30 p.m. on the 10th inst.; arrived at Wellington at 3 a.m. on the 12th, and sailed for Napier at 12.30 p. m.; heavy head winds and sea to East Cape; arrived at Napier at 9.30 a. m. on the 13th inst.; discharged cargo, and sailed for Cisborne at 7 p.m.; arrived there at 6 a.m. on the 14th; left same evening, and arrived at Tauranga wharf at 11 a.m. on the 15th inst.; discharged cargo, and sailed for Auckland at 11 p.m.; cleared the heads at midnight, and arrived at Auckland at noon on the 16th. Had strong K. and N.E. winds from Port Chalmers to Cape Runaway, thence to Auckland variible winds and thick weather. The Taiarea leaves for Levuka shortly after the arrival of the Southern Cross, now daily expected. The schooner Hally Bayley arrived from Lyttelton last night. The master reports : — Left Lyttelton on the 4th; had light variable winds with fine weather during the whole of the passage ; arrived in harbour at midnight of the 16th.

The ship May Queen left Gravesend for Auckland, &c., on August 27. She was off Brixhim on the 30th. The s.s. Glenelg will leave for Northern ports, including Parengarenga, at 5 p.m. today. The s.s. Wellington arrived from Russell on Saturday morning with the following cargo : — 91 sacks gum, 3 logs, and about 5 tons sundries. She proceeds to Tauianga at 5 o'clock this afternoon. The barque Gwendoline, 355 tons register, sailed from New York on August 30 for Oamaru and Auckland. ARRIVAL OF THE P.M. S.S. CITY OF SYDNEY FROM SAN FRANCISCO.

The P.M. s.s. City of Sydney arrived off tho Queen-street Wharf, from San Francisfco and Honolulu at 5.45 p.m. yesterday, after a fino run of 20 clays 1 hour 15 minutes from the former port, being nearly two days under due time. We are indebted to Mr. J. Simonson, jun., purser, for the following report: —Left S.in Francisco on September 25th at 4 o'clock p.m-; arrived at Honolulu on October 2nd at 12.42; left Bame day at 9.18 p.m., and arrived at Auckland on October lGth at 5.15 p.m., with 13 cabiu and 7 steerage for Auckland and 29 cabin and 23 steerage for Sydney, 349 packages New Zealand mails and 162 tons cargo. Experienced fine weather during the passage. Om Thursday, October 13th, at 8.46 a.m., communicated with the company's steamer City of New York; all well ou board, The City of Sydney resumed her voyage for Sydney at 4 o'clock this morning.

Lalla Rookh arrived from Waitara on Saturday night at 10 o'clock, with a full cargo of stock. Captain Robertson reports having spoken the brigantine Borealis off Waikato Heads, 14 days from Melbourne ; all well. The Lalla Rookh is announced to leave again at 4 p.m. to-day for Raglan. The Northern S.S. Co.'s s.s. Macgregor arrived from Wanganui at 11 a.m. yesterday, with stock. She is announced to leave again for Waitara at 3 p.m. to-dsy. The Penguin arrived at 2.45 p.m., and the passengers were conveyed to Auckland by special train. The Union S.S. Co.'s 3.5. Penguin arrived from the South at 3 p.m. yesterday. We are indebted to Mr. Percy A. Macmeikan, purser, for latest files, and the following report Left Dunedin at 3 p.m. on the 10th, called at Akaroa at 5.30 a.m. on the 11th ; left again at 7.30 p.m., arrived at Lyttelton at noon, and left again (with the Suez mail, ex Ringarooma), at 10.15 p.m., and arrivedat Wellington at noon on the 12th; remained there all night, and sailed agaia at 2 p.m. on the 13th, arrived at Picton at 6 p.m.; left again at 4 a.m. on the 14tb, and arrived at Nelson at noon, and left again at 12 p.m. the same day, and arrived off Taranaki at 2.15 p.m. on the 15th ; left agiin at 6.30 p.m., and arrived off the Manukau bar at 6.30 a.m., and dropped anchor ; hove up anchor again at 12 o'clock noon, and entered the Heads at 1 p.m., and arrived alongside the Onehunga wharf as above. The Penguin returns South at 3 p.m. to-day.
