Captain Hayward rereports that she left Rarotonga on August 27th. During the passago experienced very light winds, and frequent and protracted calms. The Atlantic brings a cargo of Island produce, and a quantity of oranges in fine condition. The brigantine Lizzie Guy arrived from Oamaru yesterday afternoon, having experienced some dirty weather. The master reports: Left Oamaru at 8 !um. on August 31, with strong south wind, which run the vessel 30 miles north of Banks' Peninsula, thonce north and light easterly winds to Capo Palliser. On the 3rd September encountered strong north wind, which lasted until the Ctb, when we met with a strong gale from the west, which hauled to south, aad ran us to East Cape, which we passed on the Bth; thence S.E. breeze, which lasted until 2 p.m. on the 9th, the wind then coming from W.S.W. and west on the 11th, increasing to a strong gale from west; were obliged to heave the vessel to. On September 12 still blowing a hard gale, and looking veiy dirty. Squared away for Hicks' Bay, and brought to anchor at 6 p.m. At midnight blowing a heavy gale from W.N. W. Left Hicks' Bay at midnight on the 13tb, with fine S.B. breeze, which lasted until 4 a.m. on the 14th. thence wind comini; from W. and S.W. very light. Light E. and N, weather till arrival. The schooner Marion arrived fiom an Island cruise yesterday afternoon. She left Auckland on the loth of August, with wind S.W. and light. On Tuesday, at i p.m., loft Big Barrier, wind east, which continued for about sixteen hours. From thence to Savage Island, fine weather. Experienced two days very light wind, the vessel making only eighty-four miles in two days. Arrived at Savage Island on Thursday, the 25th, and had fine weather daring the stay there; left again on Wednesday evening, the 31»t, for Sunday Island. Had rather a long passage, occasioned by head winds and calms, and arrived off Sunday Island on Friday morning; thence, until Tuesday morning, calms. The brigantine Roderick Dhu arrived from Dunedin via O.tmani, last night. She left the latter place on the 11th instant, with N.W. wind, and passed Bank's Peninsula next day, the wind freshening and hauling to the south ; rounded the Eist Cipe on the 15th instant, with light breese from the S.E., K and N.E. until arrival. The brigantine Swordfish arrived from Lyttelton last night. She left on the 6th. The Union S.S. Oo.'s s.b. Ringarooma, which leaves for Sydney to-morrow, proceeds thence to Melbourne, and oin to the South of New Zealand. The s.s. Hero goe;i from Melbourne to Sydney, and is expected to leave the latter port for Auckland abont the 29th inst. She will probably continue plying between Auckland and Sydney until fresh arrangements are made, especially with regard to quarantine. The New Zealand Shipping Co.'s ship .Str.icatbro sailed from London on July 28 for this port, with 44 passengers. Messrs. Shaw, Saville, and Co.'s vessel the Anteros left London for Auckland on July 30. The New Zealand Shipping Company expected to despatch the Loch Urr about August IS. and the Coromindel about September 8, for this port. The Union S.S. Co.'s b.s. Ringarooma left Gisborne at 10 a.m. yesterday, and should berth at the Queen-street wharf about noon today. She proceeds to Sydney, via Kussell, at 4 p.m. to-morrow. The schooner Marion, while off Sunday Island on the 3rd inst., experienced two severe shocks of earthquake, each lasting about twenty seconds. ARRIVAL OF THE P.M.S.S. ZEALANDIA FROM SAN FRANCISCO. The P.M. s.s. Zealandia arrived about 6 o'clock yesterday morniog, having made one of tho smartest trips on record. We aro indebted to Mr. Ronald Macdouald, the purser, for full files, and the following report:—On August 28 (Sunday), at 2.15 p.m., left P.M.S.S. Co.'s wharf, San Francisco, discharged pilot at 3.39 p.m., arrived at Honolulu on September 4, at 10 a.m., and left a?ain at 5.40 p.m.; sighted the Great Barrier on the 18th, at 0.30 a.m., and stopped for the Auckland pilot at 5.10 a.m.; received pilot on board at 5.25 a.m. Steaming time: San Francisco to Honolulu, 6 days 18h. 21min.; Honolulu to Auckland, 12 days llh. 45min.; detention at Honolulu, 7h. 40min.; time, San Francisco to Auckland, 19 days 13h. 46min. Weather, moderate and fine during the voyage, with the exception of the 11th, 12th, and 13th, when strong head winds and sea were met. The Zealandia resumed her voyage to Sydney at noon.
