THE DETACHED SQUADRON. [heoter's telegrams.! Sydney, August 3. ISO instructions have yet been received by Admiral Olanwiiliam from the Admiralty regarding the future movements of the squadron, but it is understood that, under any circumstances, the vessels will not leave Sydney before the 10th instant. THE SQUADRON NOT TO YISIT NEW ZEALAND. Sydney, August 3, evening. It has transpired that Admiral, Earl of Clanwilliam, lias received instructions this afternoon from the Admiralty to proceed to the Fiji Islands direct in a fortnight's time. The squadron, therefore, will not call at any port in New Zealand.
THE CHINESE BILL. Sydney, August 3. In the Legislative Assembly last night the Influx of Chinese Restriction Bill was read a third time and passed, and transmitted to the Legislative Council. SMALL-POX IN SYDNEY. Sydney, August 3. Further medical examination of the boy residing in Barker's Lane, in the city, has resulted in his case being pronounced definitely one of small-pox. He has been removed with the other sufferers to the quarantine station.
