WELLINGTON. Aiijust 3.—Messrs. Learyand Campbell report: iresli butter realised lid perlb.; eggs, guaranteed, la 4 Jd; fowls brought 2s 9d to 3a per pair. Hams and bacon ate hard to quit. A small lot was sold for 6d per lb. Potatoes do not improve in price The demand is small. Cheese is worth 4d to 4d. In oats, wheat, peas, and barley there is no alteration in price. Kajio Cattle Sale (By Telegraph).—At Mr. T. TV nkelin s cattle yards on Wednesday about 150 head of cattle were shown, and nearly all sold. Beef fetched 2(lipor 1001O3.; three-year-old steers, Lβ; two-year-old, L4to £5 10s ; dairy cows, L 5 to LS; aged cowa, 50s; fat wethers, 15s. Of horses a few were shown Good hacks brought L 5 to Lll. There was a good attendance of buyers and sellers.
