Bronze. —It is to be deplored tha Japanese art is in its decadence. Western civilization has invaded the land of the Mikado and Tycoon, and the country which produced at once the most classic and most grotesquo forms of art, has bccome so imbued with the " Brummagem" spirit that connoisseurs no longer delight in ltd productions. There are still, however some raro articles to bo procurod, and I can sell for £3 a set of mantel orntments in pare bronze, the figures in basso-relievo, and cut by hand with tho chisel (not cost). This Bet is worth six guineas in a jeweller's. I have also some pure copper vcut& enamelled and inlaid with met&l work* at half-price. These goods were exhibited at tho Sydney Inter* national Exhibition, and to the cognoscenti aro worth inspection.—J. M.
