MOODY AND SANKEY IN NEW YORK.
The New York Times of the 16th June says : —The announcement that D. L. Moody and Ira P. Sankey would assist at Mr. Sawyer's "Gospel services" in the Cobper Institute served to bring out a large number of people who some ycare ago were admirers of these well-known revivalists. The large hall of the Institute was packed to the utmost, and many hundreds of persons went away unable to get up even to the doors. A few less than 500 attentive young gentlemen made vain efforts at seating the audience. Mr.: Sankey and the choir sang "What shall the harvest be?" and other popular tunes, and Mr. Moody preached a long sermon from the text, "Whatsoever a man soweth that shall he also reap."
