GAZETTE PROCLAMATIONS.
[BY TKLEGRAVJI. —PRESS ASSOCIATION. ! Wellington, Thursday. An amended notice declares that hen pheasants may he taken or killed within tho Auckland district, excepting the counties of Tauranga and Whakatane during the period and under the condition of the previous notifications. Mr. Theophilus Kissling has been appointed Deputy-Commissioner of Stamp 3 and Registrar o£ Joint Stock Companies at Auckland. Messrs. Frederick Morris Preston Brookfield and Edward Marsh Williams are appointed Judges of the Native Land Court. Mr. John Birnie is gazetted captain of tho Auckland Scottish Volunteers. The resignation of Lieutenant Denby, of the Hanrak Engineers, has been accepted. The resignations of Lieutenant Connolly and SufcLieutenant Parkinson, of the Bay of Plenty Cavalry, has also been accepted. Mr. L. A. Durrieu has been appointed auditor for the county of Piako. The designation of the Manaia Post-ofticc has been changed to that of Dunbar. The name of the Ihipara Highway District has been changed to that of Kaitoia.
