Thi.- matter was adjourned for further emiuirv. An application was al.so rec-ived from .Mr. Pai-sons to have a road stopped lunning through iii.s property to the I'uiiiu Kiver. This application was i-efused for the reason that the road formed an outlet tor property beyond, ami as it led into the .Maori country, it would be injudicious to stop it. The Board, however, expressed its willingness to allow landowners the use of such roads till required' by the public. The following tenders were received for work on the Te Kalni Flat Koad : —U. Churches (soeepted) £\S; North, £2-2 ISs; Bearsley. £2S lis. Tenders had been called for contract Ko. 5, Kiliikihi hush road bridge, near liillbrds' , (laliour only), and one tender was received from W. Saunderson. Th 1 ?; Board, however, did not accept the tender, concluding to call for fresh ones for both labour and material. Several accounts were ordered to be paid.— [Own correspondent.]
