PAKURANGA HUNT CLUB.
A «bnerax meeting of the members of the Pakuranga Haat Club took place yesterday, at the offices of the Auckland .Racing Club. Mr. Alfred Backland waa called to the chair. There was but a scant attendance, those present being Messrs. S. Morrin, Leonard, W. McLaughlin, A. E. Whitaker, B. Tonks, and G. Dunaatt. The Chairman stated that the financial position of the club was not satisfactory, as there waa a considerable deficit. The Secretary read a statement of liabilities and assets, showing the actual position of the club up to date. A general discussion ensued as to the best means of reducing the deficit and lessening the working expenses of the club, and a variety of proposals were put forward and diseased. Ultimately the Chairman proposed " That a separate account be made of future moneys received; a subscription list be opened to reduce the debt; and that the c»p be sent round at each Hunt to obtain contributions towards reducing the debt." The preposition was carried unanimously. A subscription list was at once opened, and the gentlemen present gave in {their donations. Tbe Secretary announced that the annual subscriptions were overdue, and that it was very desirable they should bo promptly paid, in order to meet the current engagements of the dab, '__
