[ An EXAMINATION of Candidates desirous of competing for the above Scholarships will be held on TUESDAY, the Ist June next, at Auckland, Napier, r Wellington, Nelson, Christclinrch, and Dunedin. These Scholarships aro fire (5) in number—One (1) i. tenable for three (3j years, two (2) for two (2) years, f and two (2) for one (1) year ; are open to candidates from all parts of New Zealand, and entitle the holders t to bo&Td, lodging, and instruction at the school of Agriculture, Lincoln. Candidates must be b?t*een the ages of fifteen (15) and nineteen (19). Candidates for the scholarships shall be examined I in the subjects of the VI. Standard of Education (see Regulations under Education Act, 1377). Conditional on the papers being satisfactory to the Examiners, the three-years' Scholarship will be awarded to the candidate who stands first on the result list, those standing second and third securing i tho two-years' Scholarships, the one-year Scholarships falling to the candidates occupying the fourth and fifth places.
