MORNING GALLOP'S.
Wednesday morning. Thorpe was first to put in an appearance, •with Wbitefoot, Lalla Roo'.th, and Magician. The former went once round with the imrc, ■when Magician joined in for the second time. The paca was moderate, but Lilla Rcokli seemed to have had enough of ir. "YVhitefoot appeared big, and blew a good deal. Neither of them look like paving their way at this meeting. The colt by Tim "Whiffler, oat of Parachute, did ones round steady, stripped. He has grown into a nice little" colt, and losks very well. He is a capital mDver, and with luck will pay his ■way. Maid of Honor went twice round the plough, stripped, moving very short. This nlly look 3 very light, and appears lame in her off hock. It i 3 very doubtful if she will stand a severe preparation, as she is very straight on her fore legs. She may, however, win some short racs ; but the colt appears to be d*cidedly the better o£ ths two. Lady Elizabeth, stripped, did a good gallop twice round. This mare has not grown since last year, but has thickened a good deal, and has greatly improved in her ast. : OD, not goin;? so wide in front. She looks exceedingly wel', and is very fi?. Lady Gertrude, stripped, weDt a steady gallop twice round. She has *v bad stj'l-j of going, throwing her off fore-leg out a good deal, anl seems to tire in a gallop. She looks very fit and well. Ma'.thewa's and Taylor's horses worked on th»ir own ground. Ariel, it 13 said, looks very backward, and has not done much fast work. Yatapa is reported to be amiss, and has returned home, while two or thres others have been found wanting.
