The Claud Hamilton shipped 510SiZ=. lS.lwts. lGgt-3. of gold from this port on Sunday. LYTTELTON. December 7.—The Hurunui left the docks on August 15th, and Gravesend the next day. She experienced strong winds, westerly, in the Channel, and did not get clear of the Scilly Islands before August 30. She crossed the Equator on September 20th, and passed the Cape on October 22nd, the Lewin on November 10th, Tasmania on November lflth, and was 70 miles from the Snares on November 22m1. Then strong easterly winds and calm.3 were experienced, for the next eight days, the vessel only making 140 miles of eastern in that time. She had easterly winds and calms up to the coast, and made the peninsular on Friday, and was towed in yesterday. She brings 250 passengers in all. Five deaths occurred and one birth. The death were : Henry A. Watts, twenty months, and Gertrude, a female, five months, from wasting disease ; Wm. J. Davis, two years, and Thos. Davis, eight month, from diarrhoea; Emma Davidson, from puerperal fever. Nothing of special attention occurred curing the voyage. Fine weather prevailed. Arrived: Huia, from Wellington, and Kaikoura; Forrest Queen, from Waitapu; Mary King, from Picton ; Jane Hannah, from Catlin's River. Sailed: AVave of Life and Ethel, for Soun Is; Emily, for Newcaztle. Arrived : Lady Joclyn, from London via Plymouth, with 53 saloon passengers and 400 immigrants, all woll. No deaths on the passage ; four births. She left Plymouth on August 30th, aud crossed the line on October Bth, having had very poor N.E. trades. She passed the Capo ou November 2nd, and made Snares on December 3rd. She had moderate weather throughout the passage. The Sea Belle, from Mauritius, 4'2 days out, Cleopatra, from Greymouth ; Peerless, from Newcastle ; Magellan Cloud, from Kaipara. Sailed: Hnwe.l, for Tort Chalmers ; Huia, for Wellington via Kaikouras. December 8. -Arrived : Lady Jocelyn, from London via Now Plymouth, with 43 saloon aud 404 immigrants, all well. A report was current here, on Friday night, that the missing ship, Knowsley Hill, put into AVellington dismasted. It proved baseless. TIMARU. Decembers —Arrived : Good Templar, ketch, from Dunediu.
