MURDER WILL OUT.

A thagedt has been brought to light in Paris. A woman named Levy, in walking along the Boulevard de la Chapelle, observed a man in a blouse, with waxed moustaches, emptying out of a basket picce3 of what appeared to her to be fresh meat, and kicking them into a sew<r. When ho observed that hyr curiosity was aroused, he took to llight, throwing down the basket. She approached the sewer's mouth, wheD, perceiving a human arm, aho fainted. A eiowd immediately gathered, and a commissary of police was fetched. The pieces were collectel and put toge'-her by a surgeon, who pronounced the contents of ;lie bJslv't to be a human corpse. The bead alono of all the members was missing. An inquiry wus sot on foot, and the woman Levy was sent for by the commissary. On entering his oliice she knrcked against an' agent in uniform, which led her to turn round to look at hiin in order to apologize. She suddenly cried out, "There's the assassin." The persons who were with her thought her mad from emotion, but were astounded, when tho repeated the accusation, to see the policeman grow pah', tremble, aud rush out of the room. He was arrested on tho stairs and brought back, wtien, falling on his knees he avowed the crirao. i'li'j murdered man was a traveller for a Paris jeweller, and had Beveral boxes of jewels which he was to haye taken to tbe provinces as specimens. The murderer, one Prevost, him, under pretext of wanting to buy a watch chain, to hia lodging. There he offered him a glass of wine, and, while tho two were hobnobbing, suddenly struck bim with a hammer on the forthcaa and killed him instantaneously. He proceeded to cut up tho body on the spot, and next morning he went to the La Chapelle cower to hide tha evidences of the murder. It was his intention, by boiling tha head, to render identification impossible.
