ORGAN RECITAL.

A grand organ recital, to celebrate the openof the new organ in All Saints' C'iiur h, Pons-ml.y, was held in the church yesterday evening, funds to be applied to the liquidation of the debt on the organ The church was very well filled on the occasion. Bice, from Mendel3eohn's "Elijah," "Lift thine Eyes," and "Be not afraid." An anthem, " Blest are they that live in Thy House," by the two choirs, followed, then a recital by Mr. Pirie, the "Hallelujah" chorus. The lG6th hymn was now sung, joined ia by all present; after which the Benrdictioa was pronounced by the Bishop of Auckland. As the audience were dis-pers-ng Mr. Pirie played Dunster'a "Festival JKreii." The new organ is a remarkably sweet-toned and full-bodi>d iu-trmnent, and is a very creditable specimen of til - nuke of tli-3 builder, Hemy Jores, of Lou kn. The case of the organ is a veiy neat aod chaste one, with 19 richly illuminatel pi;and being erected on a platform a!.'iit two feet high, has a very imposing and ornamental appearance in the church building. Jn front of the organ in a very bcautifu ly carved screen of mottled kauri," the design being Gothic, to correspond with tiie pulpit. Tins screen is the handiwork of Mr. Martktt, a member of the choir of AH Saints. The organ contains great, swell, and pedal organs.
