The Waikato Times remarks: —"Some little tiuie since Messrs. 13. Purfcer and Co., ironmongers and iron merchants, of Auckland, very kindly promised Mrs. G wynne a bell for the West Hatuiuou school. We now learn that the bell aud # mounting have been forwarded to Mrs. Gwynne by the above firm, and will be at once erected in the school-house. The thanks of the community are due to Messrs. Porter and Co. for their handsome present, and to Mrs. Gwynne for i the advocacy of their requirement.
