'"', ;',",' '-~ The brig&MS-BdroWgh'Belle 'sailed yesterday morning, in ballast, for that unknown port, Guam. v The brigantine Peerless safAed yesterday for Newcastle, N.S.W., in ballast. \ She will there load with coal for a Southern portt.

The schooner Coronet, having cleared at the Customs yesterday for Apia, Samoa, sailed in the evening with a full cargo of merchandise. The schooner Gael cleared at the Customs yesterday for Apia, Samoa, with a full cargo of merchandise, and will sail about noon to-day. The number of vessels that have cleared for Apia, Samoa, within the past three days, ia larger than ever known before—no fewer than foureach of which take a large quantity of produce. That market, according to latest advices, was bare of the necessaries of life, but we are afraid that the present shipments will be so clobo upon the heels of each other, that it will Be temporarily glutted. Apart from this, the sailing of the vessels is creating much interest in nautical circles, inasmuch as a finer lot of schooners could not be found in the Southern Hemisphere, and their performance is looked forward to with much interest. We have made arrangements to have each vessel's time taken on arrivaL Wo give, as nearly as possible, the time of their departure:—Mazeppa, about 11 p.m. on Monday; Ovalau, noon yesterday; Coronet, 11 o'clock last, night; and the Gael, about noon to-day. The brigantine Linda Weber, after being several months laid-up, was put in commission yesterday, and sailed for the Islands. We understand that the ship Minister of Marine will discharge a quantity of dead weight before she comes alongside. The vessel draws over 23 feet of water, and although there is much more water at high tide than this, it is deemed advisable to adopt the foregoing course, to avoid touching the soft mud at low water. The brigantine Matautu and the s.s. Rose Casey were taken out of the dock yesterday, and the three-masted Bchooner Fairlie taken in. Tenders are required by 4 p.m. to-day, for repairs to tho three-mas'ed schooner Fairlie. Plans and specifications can be seen at Messrs. Stone Brothers. ? The revised time-table of the s.s. Lily, trading to Southern Wairoa, will be found in our advertising columns. BY TELEGRAPH. MANGONTJI. July 23.—Arrived, 2.30 p.m.: S.s. lona, from Russell and Whangaroa. TAURANGA.
