Lang and Co. say:—"The plants grow vigorously, and produce immense quantities of etrong * horrid ' spines, and when the hedge is well and fully grown — that is, in about two years—neither cats, nor hens, nor sheep, nor bullocks, would think of attempting to pe»etrate the barrier." The Box Thom bears transplanting very satisfactorily. Plants, per 1000, 30s to 355. Hawthorn, Osage Orange, Hakea, Common Barberry, &&, in quantity.
