Lang and Co. say:—"The plants grow vigorously, and produce immense quantities of strong * horrid ' sptnes, and when the hedge is well and fully grown - that is, in about two years—neither cats, nor hens, nor sheep, nor bollocks, would think of attempting to penetrate the barrier." The Box Thorn bears transplanting very satisfactorily. Plants, per 1000, 30s to 355. Hawthorn, Osage Orange, Hakea, Common Barberry, &c, in quantity.
