[beuter's telegrams.] Cairo, June 25. The .Great Powers have notified to the Khedive that they will enforce his dethronement immediately in favour of Rafen (? Halim) Pasha, unless he voluntarily abdicate at once.

[from our own correspondent.] Melbourne, June 26. It is reported that a member of the Assembly has attempted to garrotte a physician in Carlton Gardens.. It is a fact that a summons has been issued. Sydney, June 20. The steamship Adela, who fouled her anchors at Newcastle on Tuesday, was successfully floated last night.
PUNISHMENT OF CRIMINALS.
Sydney, June 20. A bill has been introduced in the Legislative Council, which provides for the more effectual punishment of certain atrocious crimes where the sentence of death is commuted.
