CAB ACCIDENT.

An accident, which might have terminated seriously, occurred yesterday about noon. As one of Mr. Crowther's cabs was proceeding down Alten Road, the axle of the front wheela broke off in the box of the wheeL The ladies jaside at once alighted, the horses were taken out, the breakage was temporarily mended, and the carriage taken to the stable. Had it not been for the careful driving on the part of Mr. Thomas Walters the driver in charge, the carriage might have been thrown into tlie ditch, and severe injuries sustained by the occupants.
