REWI AT HOME.

[»T TELIEGRA.PH, FROM OUR correspondent.] Kjhikjht, Monday. Os visiting Rewi's settlement to - day I found the old man quite well, and in good 3pirits. He was entertaining a number of lu3 friends in a whare, giving them a minute description of ali lie saw and the places he ▼isited when in Auckland. He seems especially to have remembered his visit to the waxworks and man-of-war. It was very amusing to hear him describing the figures he saw in the former place. He said Auck land had very much changed since he last saw it. The kindne33 of the Auckland people to him he will ntver forget. He expressed a hope that the present Government would continue in office for some time yet. If a dissolution occurred is would put him back in the arrangements he had made with them. He is going to get a fine house built in Kihikihi soon, to contain ten rooms. He Bays it will be a fiue thing for hiiii to entertain European guests a3 they do him— meaning the kiiid way they have treated him. Manga goes to Otaroa to be present at & meeting of Xgatiraukaua*, as soon as they have named the day, which is likely to be at the end of this month-
