Shipping Company's chnrI fered ship Ktd G luntlet, Captain Bowie, i urived tis moitjiiia, from London, 132 days out. Her passage has 'been retarded considerably, ■ iwing to having lost her main topmast on the i «y out, during a heavy easterly gale in 4G'4O I loath and 163.50 cast. With the topmast went I tie royal and topgallant masts and topsails ; H main top-gallant and royal yards were all lost, i; being necessary, for the safety of the ship, to ni away the wreck. No damage was sustained by the vessel, and none of the crew received any iajary. The casualty was caused by the heel of the topmast giving way above the fid, causing ! the mast to slip down about IS inches, slacking apali the backstays, &c. The vessel was rolling rery heHvilv at the time the m<ist carried iway. The* ship put into Portland, on February 11th, to land, the chief officer and some of the crew, who were sick, and, having shipped ethers, left there on February 16th, but did not get away from the land until February 22nd. She met with variable weather until the latter Pitt of the voyage, after passing Cape Leuwin, Hay 14- Sighted the Snares on June 4th, but did not get past them until June 9th. The Erd G.tuntlet brings two saloon, two seconddiss, and nine steerage passengers, all of whom ire well. June IS.—Arrived: Soucar, ship, from London. She left on the Ist March, with 47 passengers. June 20.—-Arrived: City of Madras, ship, from London : 100 days out. The long passage wls occasioned by light winds. She brings Kveral passengers and a large cargo. During the passage, two second-class passengers died. POKT CHALMERS. ! K»y 23.—Arrived : Barque Columbus, from I London, with five passengers and 1200 tons of i aigo, after a lengthy passage of 109 days, i June 2. —Saik-S : The Albion Company's ship i Lyttelton, for London, with 3 passengers and i the following cargo :—573 bales wool and 1145 ; jacks wheat. i June 17.—Arrived : The ship Otago, from i Glas-ow. : OAMARTJ. 3 Jane s.—The barque Beatrice, Captain Har 3 lia, cleared outwarils today for the United a Eagdom. with a full cargo of wheat.
