Miller Eyes (Waimea), be Registrars of Marriages. Hon. W. Fitzherbert, to be Speaker of the Legislative Council. Mr. Harry Eyre Kenny (Napier) to be judge of the Assessment Court, Napier. Mr. George Harvey to be Deputy District Judge for Dunedin. Mr. Thomas Williams (Picton), J.P., under the Municipal Corporations Act, IS7G. Mr. Wdliam Horton Revell to be Sheriff for Westland, vice Mr. C. Broad, resigned. Mr. W. L. Simpson, tobs llesideut Magistrate at Duaedin, with jurisdiction of £100, during the abseuce of Mr. Bathgate. Major Jackson Keddell, to be Resident Magistrate on the Otago goldSelds during the absence of Mr. Simpson. Major Jackson Keddell, to be Chairman of the Licensing Court of the districts previously held by Mr. Simpson, and Mr. W. L. Simpson to be Chairman of those- previously held by Mr. Bathgate. Mr. John Duthie, J.P., and Mr. Jackson Keddell, to be Visiting Justices of the prisons at Wanganui and Clyde respectively. Mr. Walter Henry Dunnage, to be a cadet j in the Survey Department. A despatch of extradition with the Siviss Confederation is gazetted. Hon. Sir W. Fitzherbert has been summoned to the Legislative Council. Messrs. John Brown (Thames), Fredk. George Clayton (Auckland), H. Hobaon (Blenheim), R. Ferguson (Lawrence), C. J. Harrison (Rangitikei), Robert Langdon (Wairarapa), J. McHutchinson (Blenheim), It. B. McKenzie (Manawatu), Richard tlarman, Jeffare3 Keeves (luangahua), Gustave A. H. Rockett (Manawatu), Henry Lawson (Manawatu), and R. J. seddon (Weßlland) are gazetted to be Justices of the Peace for the colony. A further progress report of the New Zealand War Aledsl Commissioners is gazetted. Christopher Joseph Frank, Clerk of the Resident Magistrate's Court and Warden's Court, No Town, has been dismissed from the Civil Service, The rales for the examination of masters, mates, and engineers are gazetted. The payment of fractional parts of a shilling in fees and groundage to be taken under the Sheriff's Act, ISSS, is abolished. If the amount to be paid is less than Gel, it shall not be payable ; but if more than GJ, Is shall be paid instead of such fraction. The inland mail service now being performed within the colony is published.
