DIORAMA OF THE AMERICAN WAR.

Tais grand series of vivid pictures of the leading events of the American civil war, which exhibited some years ago in thie city, ■was on view at the Lorne-street £[all last night, and a very large audience in attendance testified to the intereet displayed in the incidents of the war, and the appreciation of the artistic pictures placed before them. Mr. Harry Stanley officiated as lecturer, and elucidated the scenes very effectively, in addition to which he varied the entertainment by singing a number of Bongs, many of which were illustrative of the paintings, one especially so, being the lament for the death of the celebrated General "Stonewall" Jackson. The mechanical arrangements worked splendidly, ani the whole exhibition gave a graphic outline of the leading incidents of the American civil war. At the close of the exhibition a number of gifts were distributed amongst the audience, and they included a number of very valuable presents. To-night the performance will be repeated, and a further lot of present? given away.
