A daughter of John Cludd, aged 12 years was burnt to death at Cooktown by an explosion of keroßene. Information has been received by the Brisbane Acclimatisation Society that a collection of plants, numbering over 800, is about to be sent here as a present from the Japanese Government. The treasurer to the Kaitangata Relief Fucd acknowledges the receipt of £162 da lid.
