Scdgwich Saunders, tho Medical Officer of flealth for the city of London, and have obtained the following results Specific gravity of tho Whisky, 0.894,6} Specific gravity of tho distillate from ditto, 9.804,2. It is, therefore, a strong spirit, being 19.8 degrees over proof, according to Sykes. It contains no supar, and only a mere trace of fixed matter, In the form of colouring matter; it has tho flavour of good whisky, and is remarkably free from fusil oil. T.
