DR. HASSALL'S REPORT. The Analytical and Sanitary Institution, 54, Holbom Yiaduct, E. C., London, 9th May, 1577. ? Report on a Sample of Imperial Schiedam Schnapps received from Mr. H. J. Hart. , We have subjected a sample of the above-named . article to a very careful chemical analysis and examination. The results of the analysis, which are set forth in a separate report shew that this spirit is of good strength, practically free from acidity, and thai it contains but truces of solid matter in solucion. It possesses a delicate and agreeable aroma, and a pure and mild taste. Mr. Hart's Schiedam Schnapps is a very superior article of its class, is well purified, and quite genuine. Arthur H. Hassall, M.D., Author of ° Food and its Adulteration," OTTO HBU.ner F.C.S., Public Analyst. JOHNSON'S REPORT. Government Analytical Laboratory, , __ . , _ Melbourne, 23rd July, 1577. b Henri J. Hart, Esq., * . Sir,—l have the honour to report for your i information that the sample of Imperial Schiedam . Schnapps forwarded by you to me has been r submitted to a searching chemical analvsis and ; critical examination, the result of which enables me i to state that it ia the finest sample of Schnapps that t has as yet come under my notice. I It lias a pure, fragrant odour, and is absolutel\* free i from any traces of fusil oil or other injurious > impurity, and lias evidently been distilled from superior rye jjrain, always used instead of malt in the production of the choicest qualities of Schnapps. It is very smooth to the palite and In this respect compares favourably with other samples offered for sale. It may be advised as equally suitable for medical or ecciiumie purposes,—l have the honour to be, <icc.» (Signed) Wu. Johnson, Analytica Chemist to the Government of Victoria.
