THEATRE ROYAL. — THE STEWART FAMILY.
II? was repeated at the Theatre Royal last night by tho talented Stewart Family, with as much success as before. Mr. Stewart's character impersonations seem to be unlimited, and it is, indeed, difficult to select the class in which he appears to greatest advantage, for his versatility is such that whether as Jack Brine, an old salt, Paddy Worts, an Irish brewer, the Yorkshire coachman, the Marquis- de Millefleurs, or King Bouncer, he was 1 equally at home. The versatility of the father seems to be transmitted to his daughters. They are graceful character actresses, correct in deportment, style, and dress, and pleasing in > every instance, while their singing is much 1 above the average. Miss Docy Stewart espe- '• cially may justly claim a well-cultivated voice 1 of great range, as was shewn last night in tho ■ selections from "Lucia di Limmermoor," " Lucrezia Borgia," and other operas, as well as '• other selections. Miss Maggie Stewart excels 1 la the correctness of her impersonations, while i Miss Nellie lends a spirit of abandon to her 1 characters, which fairly carries the audience as < it did last night. The second part of the pro- ' gramme, a burlesque on the fairy tale " Cin- 1 derella," introduces the family in a new 1 element, in which they excel. Their tasteful, 1 gorgeous dresses and accompaniments, as well < as tho musical selections introduced, earned the < deserved applause of the audience. I
