[FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENTS.] Sydney, January 5. Waugheim, a publican, in his insolvent iclicdule, alleged an outlay of mwney in buying a Government appointment from a man named Soncers. This is corroborative of Mr. McElhono's charges against Mr. Garret, formerly Minister of Lands. The Colonial Office has undertaken the conveyance of the British works of art to Sydney, for the Exhibition. Melbourn«, February 5. From the heat of the weather, everywhere sickness is prevalent, especially *mong3t children. An epidemic is feared. Neither Russia nor the Spanish colonies will be represented at our Exhibition, the former from want of time, the latter from snancial embarrassment.
