WESLEYAN CONFERENCE.

Tiie Conference re assembled at 10 a.m. yesterday, A hymn having been sum, the Rev. Mr. Schnackenherg led tho meeting in prayer. Several notices of motion were submitted. The President read a telegram from tbe Secretary of the Victorian Conference, now sitting in Melbourne, aunouuciug the sudden death of the Rev. J. Eggleston, usually known as " Father" Eggleston, a respected minister of 45 years' standing. The second draft of the stations was read. The appointments for this district was reported as follows :—Auckland : Bond, and Parkes. Thames : Wa'kin. Manukau : Law. Waiuku and Pukekohe : Garlick. Waikato : Bull. Raglan : Schnackenberg. Kaipara : Gittos. Hokianga : J. G. Hammond.

The principal part of the session wa3 taken up in considering the stations. Rev. Bavin moved, and the Rev. Bull seconded, "That the third readings of the stations be taken on Tuesday morning." The Conference resumed its deliberations at2p.ni.,—Mr. Perry leading in prayer. The Revs. J. Hobbs and Hamiora Ngaropi took their seats.

The ex-President made reference to the great losses sustained by Rev. T. G. Carr in consequence ' fc of tho late floods in Balclutha, and a motion of sympathy was passed. Several notices of motion were laid upon the table by Messrs. Hobbs (M.H.R.), Perryman, and Harding. Mr. Lewis then read the balance-sheet of the Supernumeraries' and Widows' Fund, which shewed an income of £7GO 3s, and an expenditure of £1025 3i 4d. Received and adopted.

The balance-sheet of the Contingent Fund shewed an income, including a balance from last year of £22S 0s 9d, of £G72 I9d Jod, and an expenditure of £557 lis sd. Cr. balance: £85 8s sd. —A vote of thanks was passed to the Rev. A. Reid and D. Lewis, Esq., for their efficient services as treasurers of the Connexiooal Funds. Mr. Reid aud Mr. J. Ballantyne were appointed treasurers of the fund. A vote of thanks was then passed to the Rev. W. Morley and Mr. Harris, as treasurers of the Contingent Fund. It was moved and passed, "That the Superintendent of the St. Alban Circuit and Mr. Harris be the treasurers of this fund. The following graut3 in aid were passed : —To Maori Missions : Hokianga station, £310 6s ; Kaipara, £81 ; Raglan, £303 Gs ; extras, £200. Grants to English Home Missions, £155 ; Scandinavian Mi-sion, *75 ; grants to circuits, £493 ; for parsonage furniture, £150; trainiug students, £250 ; miscellaneous, £75; Manawuta, £25; extras, £01 : total, £2178. Other routine business having been gone throug, aud the benediction pronounced by the President, the Conference adjourned.
