HASSALL'S REPORT. The Analytical and Sanitary Institution, 54, Holborn Yladuct, E. C., London, Oth May, 1877. Report on a Sample of Imperial Schiedam Schnapps received from Mr. H. J. Hart. We have subjected a sample of the above-named article to a very careful chemical analysis and examination. The results of thp analysis, which are set forth in a separate report shew that this spirit U of good strength, practically free from acidity, and thai it contains but traccs of solid matter in solution. It possesses a delicate and agreeable aroma, and a puro and mild taste. Mr. Hart's Schiedam Schnapps is a very superior article of its class, is well purified, and quite genuine. | (Signed) Arthur H. Hart, Esq., Sir,—l b*vo the honour to report for youi iniormation that the sample of Imperial Schiedam Schnapps forwarded by you to me has been submitied to a searchiug chemical analysis and critical examination, the result of which enables me to state that it is the finest sample of Schnapps that has as yet come under my notice. It has a pure, fragrant odour, and is absolutely free from any traces of fusil oil or other injurious impurity, and has evidently been distilled from superior rye grain, always used instead of malt in the production of the choicest qualities of Schnapps. It is very smooth to. the palate and in thi* respect compares favourably witb other Bamples offered for sale. It may be advised as equally suitable for medical or economic purposes,—l have the honour to be, &c., (Signed) W*. Johnson, Analytica Chemist to the Government of Victoria.
