Subjoined aro the totals of th*j agricultural returns of the Provincial District of Westlaud, collected during the month of February last: Number of holdings, (130 freehold, 159 rented, 4 part rented and part freehold) *502; extent of laud broken up, but not under crop, 216} acres ; in wheat, | acre : estimated yield, 10 bushels. In oats, acres, green food ; for grain, 6j acres ; estimated yield, 150 bushels. In barley, nil. In sown grass—in liay, 23S£ acres; estimated yield, »343& tons; in grasses, after having been broken up (including such as in ha}), 2.J99J acres; grass-sown lands not previously ploughed (including such as in hay), 2112J acres : total area in artificial sown grass, 4512 acres. In potatoes, 245 acres ; estimated produce, 1402 tons. In other crops, acres: total number of acres under crop (including sown grass). 529GJ acres.
