NOTICES OF ASSESSMENT.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —Can you tell me why the valuers in some of the suburban districts have not sent notices to those whoso names are on the valuation'roll, as required by tho I2th clause of the Rating Act, 1876 ? It is not always convenient to of several miles to ihspect the valuation roll, especially when the law makes such a journey unnecessary. —I am, &c, WOCLD-LIKE-TO-KNOW.
