WESLEYAN DISTRICT MEETING.

FINANCIAL MEETING. In addition to the ministers, the following laymen attended to discuss the temporal affairs of the Methodist Church in the Auckland District:—Messrs. C. J. Stone, F. L. Prime, R. Hobbs, W. Griffiths, J. S. Welsman, J. Edson, T. Buddie, J. Wiseman, R. Arthur, T. Allen, J. Bycroft. R. N. Buttle, G. A. Buttle, and J. N. Buttle. Mr. J. Bycroft was appointed lay secretary to the meeting. BUILDINGS AND ALTERATIONS COMPLETED. Auckland.—[n the Graf ton Road church a new gallery had been erected, the church painted throughout, and additional sitting accommodation provided, at a cost of £180. Thames. —The sum of £80 had been spent in painting, gasfitting, and tree-planting in connection with the two principal churches. Waikato.—A new parsonage had been built at a cost of £270. •-. \ Raglan.—The parsonage had been added to, at a cost of £30. \ KAirARA. —Three chapels were being built, and the parsonage shingled and enlarged, at a cost of £74. Hokianoa.—A new church had been built at Herd's Point, at a cost of £160. : BUILD I?. GS AND ALTERATIONS SANCTIONED. Auckland.—A new parsonage at Pittstreet, to cost £800 ; a new church at Ponsonby, to cost, with land, £750; a new church at the North Shore, to cost, with land, £475. Manukau.—A new church to be built at Onehunga t-> supplant the present building, to cost £500. Kaipara.—Two new chapels, one at Albertland and one at Paparoa, to cost £300 each. Hokianga.—A new mission-house to take the place of the old one, which was burnt down a few months ago.
