Russia has prohibited the export of horses. : The Porte is preparing the Turkish mil;, tary forces, and a division of ironclads are proceeding to the Black Sea. The Russian demands on Turkey are : That Christian Governors be elected for the Provinces; the appointment of native officers; the expulsion of Circassian troops; and the residence of a permanent Consular Commission to supervise. « Yielding to.-the pressing counsels of the Powers, the Porte accepted the proposed conference on Turkish affairs. There is increased activity at Woolwich and Portsmouth. LONDON, November IS. THE WOOL SALES—PRICES FIRM. At the wool sales; competition continues extremely vigorous. The mail steamer Australia, which left on the 20th October, arrived at San Francisco on the 15th nit., one day before contract time, and the City of Sydney left there with the New Zealand and Australian mails on the Bth inst., the advertised day of sailing.
