The furniture department was not 80 full as usual; not much business done in furniture. Harmonium sold at £15; a quantity of fancy goods sold at fair prices. Messrs. M. Jones and Co. held their usual weekly sale. A quantity of produce, furniture, and a number of fowls were disposed J of at reasonable prices. Messrs. Cochrane and Son's sale of furniture, &c, was well attended, and satisfactory prices were realised. Mr. George Sibbin held a well-attended sale to-day at his Corner Mart: Sugar, 455; tea, Is lid to 2s 4d (duty paid) ;■ flour, £15 10s ; potatoes, 2s to 7s; cheese, 7d ; hams, IOJd. ; bacon, 10d; maize, 4s ; currants, the whole line cleared out, 4|d.

October 27.—Mr. O'Shea reports produce prices as follows : —Flour, firm, £14 10s to £15 ; oats, 2s 7d to 2s 9d ; wheat, milling, no sale; chick, 3s 6d to 4s; pollard, 8s to Ss 10d ; bran, Is 3d to Iβ 4d ; maize, 3s 9d to 4s; cheese, SJd to Is 2d; hams and bacon, overstocked, unsaleable; potatoes, 70s to SOs, old overstocked. DUNEDLN. October 27. —Wheat still scarce. Best Northern samples demand, readily, 6s; inferior and medium, 5a 3d, 5s 9d. Oats freely dealt in at 2a 2d, 2s 3d, for fair to fine ; good np to 2s 4d for milling. Stocks on hand of wheat and oats very slight. Barley without change; quotations nominal: 4s for fine malting, and 2s and 2s 6d for feed.
