BACHELORS' BALL.

The usual bachelors' ball of the season was given last evening; in the Choral Hall, and passed off quite as successfully as any of its predecessors have done. About 100 couples were present, the German officers recently arrived in .-~nd being conspicuous in their naval uniforms. Mr. Impey's band supplied the music in first-class style, while Mr. Stacey carried out the catering arrangements in a highly creditable manner. To the exertions put forth by the following gentlemen, as members of committee, the success of the ball is, in a great measure, if not wholly due, viz. :—Messrs. T. Broham, A. Clark, J. Richmond, J. Russell, J. Coates, R. Browning, A. Wardrop (hon. sec), D. Heau, W. Burton, and A. Brock. The.follnwing was tha programme of dances prepared for the occasion :—Quadrille, " Grand Duchess ;" galop, " Harmony ;" waltz, " Dream of the Ucean ;" lancers, " Merry Tunes;" waltz, " Soldaten Leidor ;" galop, "Fox Hunters;" mazurka, " Fairy Bells ;" lancers, "Somebody's Luggage;" waltz, "Blue Danube;" galop, " Keiter ;" waltz, " Atnorette iu Tatigi ;" mazurka, " Violetta ; waltz, " Pepele ;" quadrille, " Lurline ;" waltz, " Reigning Beauty ;" galop, " Valentine ;" waltz, "Adieu ;" Avaltz and galop, " .Silver Chimes and Night Bells."
