KAIPAKA RAILWAY EXTENSION.

We have been furnished with the following correspondence on this subject:— Waitemata Mills, October 10,1576. Sir,—T again take tLe liberty of addressing you r-carding the eitensiv-n of the Kaipnra Bailway. Before this yoa will have receired Mr. Sincllir's report regarding the lacd claims, and would you oblige by slating what your intention is regarding the line, as there is a good deal of anxiety about it. Tμ en inesr here is surveying another line along the coast. This line, I do not know whether it will be cheaper or not; but there is one thing certain, there is no population en the line, ami it is, in ray opinion, away from where the triffic will be between this and Auckland, and away from the Waitikerei timber raiges The other line passes close to some millions of acre? of timber and through where the population i», end where there Is certain te be a considerable reveDU* got from the traffic.
