New Zealand Herald Office, Tuesday evening. The Customs duties collected to-day amounted to £601 12s 9d. On Monday, Messrs. Tonks and Co. held an important sale of oats and barley, which realised in large lines from 2s 5d to 2s Sd per bushel; barley, 2a 9d. This day a trade sale of oilmen's stores took place, the trade being well represented. The following are the principal lines and quotations :—Bell and Black's 250 vestas, 19s .3cl per gross; Braiidon's candles, lOgd ; Price's paraffin, Keiller'a' Dundee' marmalade, 8s per dozen f ; ' Crosse and Blackwell's, 8s per dozen ; Brown and Poison's cornflour, 7d per lb. ; saltpetre, 36a per cwt. ; English crushed loaf sugar, s£d per lb. ; Whybrow's half-pints castor oil, j 5a 6d per dozen; salad oil, half-pints, 6s.
