The want of proper Steamer Accommodation between Auckland, Thames, and Coromandel has been severely felt for so considerable a time that the Projectors of this Company now propose to form a Joint Stock Company (Limited), for the purpose of having a Buat built expressly for passenger and cargo traffic, not only to meet the pressing demands of trade, but with such increased spred as to limit the passage to and from Auckland to four hours. A contiact at once to bo entered into with Messrs. Fraser & Tinne, Auckland, for a First-class Iron Boat, replete with every modern improvement and accommodation, to be ready by December next, and estimated to cost £11,000. The nominal capital of the Company is estimated at £12,500, £1,600 being allowed to meet contingencies. The guarantee, ae regards tho new Boat, to be as follows:—Speed to be 12 knots per honr; and for every knot less than 12 knots per hour, her builders to forfeit at the rate of £1,000 per knot. Should the speed of the Boat exceed 12 knots, tho builders to receive a bonus of £1,000 for every knot over 12 koot3 per hour : such bonus to be taken up in shares in tho It will thus be observed that tho Projectsrj mean to provide the accommodation required eo much by the public, at the same timo to have a Company which will give to Shareholders a handsome return for the capital Invested.
