New Zealand Herald Office, Thursday evening. The Customs duties for to-day amounted to £1836 2s 3d. Mr. Greenwood reports hi 3 sale this day o£ cattle, horses, poultry, and farming utensils, at Mr. Bond's, Onehunga, as follows : — Cows, from £6 5s to £S per head; heifer, £3 2s6d; calves, 275; pony, £6; poultry, 3s to 3s 9d per couple. Farming utensils, furniture, &c., realised very fair prices.

AUCKLAND CATTLE MARKET. MR. ■ Alfred Bijciclan-D'S WEEKW REport- —At the Haymarket, on Friday last, hay was in less than usual supply and better ■worth. Small loads brought from 17s to 34s each; large loads, 3s 9a to 5s 3d the cwfc.; chaff, 3s 9d the cwt.; oats, 2s Gd to 2s 9d the bushel; damaged maize, 2s 9d the bushel; maizemeal, 6s the lOOlbs.; double- j seated buggy, and harness, £45; singleseated buggy, £41; double-furrow plough, £9. Horse stock were brought forward in full numbers, and sold more freely than for several weeks; prices given were : for 3-year-old draught oolts, £33; aged medium draught, £23 to £34; riding horses, £4 to £25. —At W. Morrison's sale, on Wednesday, there was a full attendance of buyers. The cows varied very much in quality, and consequently in price. The young horse stock were well growo, and in good condition. Prices obtained throughout the sale were satisfactory. —At Ilemuera, on' Thursday, dairy cows were plentiful, and lower in price, Store cattle in average numbers, bat of very inferior quality and dull of sale.. Fat cattle in full numbers : 160 head sold to the trade ; last weeks prices were sustained. Few store sheep ponucd. Fat sheep in usual numbers : 500 sold, at slightly advanced values. Store pigs plentiful and in request at late values. J?at pigs short of enquiry and better worth. Prices given were :—Dairy cows and heifers, £6 to £13 ; fat cattle, 37s Gd to 32s 6d the lOOlbs. ; fat wethers, 3d to 3Jd ; ewes, from 2Jd the lb; aged ewes, 7s 6d to 123 each. Averages obtainsd were —40 younc; steers, W. C. C. Woold, £G 13s 6d; 30 head steers, Anderson Brothers, £9 15s 6d; 30 head, M.. Bosanco, mixed sexes, £8 12s; 9 head, W. King, £S ss; 11 head, W. T. Rogers, £9 4s 6d; 32 head, W. D. Caley, £10 lis. Messrs. Hunter and Nolan's Weekly Report.—Horses : About an average number have offered for sale, and the demand has besn steady, bnt no high-priced horses were disposed of. There is an existing demand for young upstanding horses at remunerative pr»ces. Cattle : There was a very large muster at Newmarket on Tuesday. The dairy stock was not so good as for the last week or two, and several were withdrawn for higher rates. A good many of the stores were coarse, exhibiting neglect in the breeding, aud consequently were not so keenly competed for as were a few pens of well bred. The fat beasts, with few exceptions, were goods, and bidding was brisk. "We quote dairy cows, £9 to £12 ; yearlings, from £1 17s Gd to £3 03; two-year-olds, from £3 15s ; three year-old steers, from £5 5s to £6 7s Gd; beef, from 27s 6d to 35s per lOOlbs. Sheep : There was a large muster and active demand, and prices ruled higher than for some weeks. Good wethers sold from 15s 9d to 225; lambs (shorn), 9s 9d to 103 9d. Pigs were in good supply and were well competed, obtaining fully 3Ad per lb. lire weight.
