New Zealand Herald Office, . " • ; : Friday evening. The Customs duties for to-day amounted tol £955 9s lid. . • The ship Brodick Castle brings over 2000 tons general cargo from London. It is to be regretted that' owing to the mishap occasioned to this vessel at the early part :of her voyage some her cargo will arrive out of season, and must be'either stored or sold at a sacrifice. The particulars of her cargo appear below. The ship Merwanjee Framjee has made a smart rim from London, so much so that she has. arrived in advance of the information usually afforded through the medium of Stable's circular of her cargo. There is little change in the markets since the issne of our- last report. Quotations for sugar remain the .same. .The .shipment of Fiji sugar previously mentioned, has been sampled, and found to be quite equal in quality to the last.
