Bucklaitd's /Weekly Re- ( pokt.—At the''Haymarket on Friday'last, fodder was in short supply, biit with rip improvement in value:*— were~in~ U3ual numbers and fair enquiry, the greater number being sold. Unbroken stock, medium dranght bronght £21 to =£24--10s; broken horses: Medium draught, £15 to £20; riding horsesand ponies, £3 10s to £8 each ; oats, 23 6d to 2s lid the bushel; maize, 2s 6d • rye grass, ss'9d the bushel; hay/2sto 3s 9d the cwt. Hides, skins, and wool were in usual supply, and brought:—-Hides, 4d and l-16th the lb. ; skins,-Is Sd to 2s 2d each; lambswool, 9Sd to 10d; T coast wool, 6H to B*d; locks and 'pieces, 4jd the lb. At Eemuera, on Thursday, not many dairy cows at profit were penned; they were in demand at late values ; dry cows in usual numbers, and dull o£ sale; store cattle of other descriptions scarcely represented ; fat cattle in full numbers, and of choice quality, ISO head sold to the trade, at prices irregular, but in the whole . higher than for several weeks ; for the breeding ewes advertised there was no sale; inferior fat sheep were also dull o£ sale, and mostly withdrawn; well fatted sheep in demand at a slight advance; lambs in less than usual number, and better worth; fat calves and pigs scarce, and at extreme values. Prices given were : Dairy cows, £8 to £12 : dry cows, 50s to 80s ; steer calves, 30s and 31s ; three-year-old steers, £4 17s Cd to £6 ss; fat "steers, 2Ss to 35s ; cowsr24s to 30s'the 100 lbs.; fat ewes, 2id; wethers, 3d thelb.; lambs, 12s each.

Hunter and Nolan's Weekly Report.—Horses : There has not been much activity in the market, Friday being a kind of half holiday ; although a good many were entered for disposal by auction, bidding lacked spirit, and , several vrece -withdrawn. "We quote hacks, from £8 to £20 10s; light harness horses, from £12 10s to £26 ss. Cattle : There was a very largo muster at Kewmarket, on Tuesday. Dairy cows, if of good description, maintained last week's prices. Good stores maintained late values, but for coarse bred animals in low condition bidding was slow, with some exceptions. The stock in the butchers' pens was not sufficiently fatted, and although the competition for top sorts was good, the bidding for indifferent was rather languid. We sold dairy cows, at from £0 to £13 15s; backward springers, £7 to £7 17s 6d; two and three-year-old steers, from £4 17s 6d to £6; yearling heifers and steers, from £2 5s to £2 17s 6d; beef, 25s to 30s per lOOlbs. Sheep : There was but a limited number penned, but the demand was good, and prices were fully sustained. . Fat sheep sold from 16s to 18s; fat lambs, from Ss to 15s 6d ; store ewes, in low condition, 8s each. Pigs ; Very few yarded, and in improved demand.
