' Dear Sir.—Among the many invalids that have visited , the Waiwera Hot Springs, perhaps there is not one .wu'o has derived more benefit in 'so fihort 'a time as myself; and I think it is a duty I owe to 6:]»era wLo -may be similarly..situatort. to make my case known. When I went to the Springs I was suffering great pain ;—could' not walk, but had to be carried. 1 nnd when laid down on'the sofa at Waiwera, suffered such eicriiciating pain, that I had to get brandy and len to twice its -usual size. After fourteen days' bathing and drjnking tlie waters, I recovered; got rid of tbe pain, and felt in every way as well as ever I was In my life, which has continued : and I feel sure when bettor known, the Waiwera Hot Springs will be highly appreciated, and greet benefits will be derived from sucli valuable modicinul springs. I have refrained from giving a testimonial till, now, fearing the rapid cure could not bo bisting, but it is now six' months since I was cured, and not tho slightest symptoms of a return of the pain, in fact I never felt better. . Yours faithfully, ' ' A. CLEMENTS. , Waiwera, March 6, 1576. '■ I arrived at the Waiwera on tho 20th of January, after four months suffering from Rheumatic Go«t, and immediately after a fourth relapse on board the ' Mikado.' I was then urable to set raj right foot on the ground, and suffering acute pain. Now, after more than six weeks' use of the baths, I »m tlmnkful to be able to walkabout a mile in the day, my general health is much improved, and. I hope, the foundation laid for permanent recovery. It would have been very gratifying. to me' to have been able to Dear a inoro satisfactory testimony. I have seen others come on crutches, arid go away aitt'r a much shoiter stay independent of them; and I can only occount for the obstinacy of my own case by the severo intellectual and continual strain of many years of wasting labour with insufficient sleep. I have much pleasure in bearing testimony to the excellence of the Hotel arrangements, and "to tho kindness shewn to me by the Proprietor, Robert Graham, Esq., and by tho Manager, Mr. Boston, and hig excellent wife. The packing, and other processes to which I was subjected during the first week of: my stay, by Mr. Edwin Turner, Hydropathic Practitioner, tendered me essential service, and I am pen-uaded that had ho been present all tho timo to continue those processes, I should have bsen completely restored.
