Mr. Alfred Buckland's Weekly Kbport.— At the Haymarknt, on Friday last, hcrse stock offered in usual numbers; draught stock were dull of sale, and al'. of this description passed; but riding horses were in tatter request, and many sold at prices varying from £7 to £15 each. Bags of wool and sheepskins were offered in larger than usual quantity; ood competition was obtained throughout, the sale a a price ■ being equal to the largor wool sale. Hidos wero in less than average numbers, and at lata values. At Remuera, on Thursday, dairy cows were in request, and better vorth: few store cattle offered; fat cattle in usual supply, 125 head penned of variablo quality; prices without change from last week. Store cheep in moderate numbers; fat sheep in usual supply, and dull of sale; lambs, plentiful, and of choice quality, but lower in price than last week Is to 2s each. Pigs in modorate supply; better worth. Messrs Huhtkk. and Nolan's Weekly Report.— Horses: There were a great many horses entered for dl-posal by auction on Friday last, but chiefly of a medium and inferior stamp. Bidding was slow, and several were withdrawn, and barely an average number were disposed of. There has since been an enquiry for hacks and light harness horses, both of which will be in requisition during the races. We quote hacks, from £8 to £15 2s 6d; light harness horses, from £12 15s to £23 7s 6d each. Cattle: As is invariably the case in the holidays, the supply at Newmarket was but limited, but there was a spirited demand for dairy and fat stock an'l the stores received attention, but owing to the limited supply, vendors expected an advance on last week's prices. This graziers were indisposed' to give, consequently a fow pens .wero withdrawn. There is an unsatisfied demand for backward springers. Some of the fat beasts sold on Tuesday were remarkably well fatted, and wero keenly competed for. AVo quote ilairy cows from £7 to £10; backward springers, £5 to £7 Ts 6d; beef, 30s per 100 lbs. Sheep: The supply has been adequate, which met corresponding demand, rates being without material alteration; for the best wethers 3ld was obtained. Lambs: A good number offered, but principally lato ones, and wero principally bought by the grazier, at from 6s 3d to 7s 0d- best lambs, from 10s to 13s 6d. Pigs are very scarce, and are at high values, considering the season of the year and the relative value of best and mutton.
